Notice of Anticipated VacancyFebruary 27, 2026 Groundskeeper Shelter Rock Elementary School This position is available March 20, 2026 Responsibilities:Mows lawns, trims hedges, rolls, reseeds and fertilizes lawns and cares for trees, shrubs and flowers.Removes snow and ice from sidewalks, driveways, etc.Operates a variety of grounds maintenance equipment.Participates in the maintenance of recreational area.Performs a variety related grounds maintenance tasks.Participates in miscellaneous jobs inside buildings during the winer months, as required. Qualifications:One year of satisfactory experience in grounds maintenance work. New York State fingerprint clearance and Civil Service approval required. A valid Driver License issued by the State of New York. This is a full-time, 12- month position with hours of 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Salary as per MESPA contract.
