Notice of Anticipated VacancyJune 28, 2023 Teaching Assistant Manhasset Secondary School Grades 7-12This probationary position is available September 1st, 2023 Position Description: The successful candidate is motivated, engaging, and child centered with a demonstrated ability working with students at the Secondary school level. Strong communication skills and prior experience supervising students with disabilities preferred. ABA experience preferred and monitoring medical needs and if needed administering “Glucagon, Epi-pen” preferred. Providing support/medical assistance during early afternoon and afternoon transportation and implementing behavior intervention plans. The successful candidate will join a team of enthusiastic secondary school educators devoted to helping all students reach their full potential.Qualifications: Appropriate New York State Teaching Assistant Certification is required and NYS Fingerprint Clearance.This is a 10-month position, 7 hours per day position. Salary as per MEA contract.
