REQUIREMENTS: NYS Certification NYS School PsychologistRESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct psychological evaluations and maintain counseling caseloads (CSE/504).Provide recommendations and intervention strategies based on student evaluations.Development of IEP/504 plans.Foster effective and ongoing communication with students’ teachers, school staff, district administrators and families in support of students IEPs or 504 plans.Participates and/or chairs CSE or 504 meetings.Offer consultation and guidance on mental health, crisis intervention and behavior management.Train staff (as needed) on behavior interventions.Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (detailed documentation and reports), and collaborate with other schools.Adhere to district policies, ethical conduct, and professional development requirements.QUALIFICATIONS:Experience as a school psychologist.Doctorate degree preferred.Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal/collaboration skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail (Maintain accurate records, reports)Experience chairing a Committee on Special Education (CSE) and/or 504 meetings.Experience conducting assessments and developing intervention plans.Ability to work independently and manage caseload effectively and efficiently.
