REQUIREMENTS: NYS Certification Business and Marketing (All Grades) NYS Certification Coordinator of Work-Based Learning Programs (preferred) NYS Certification Blooming Certification (preferred) RESPONSIBILITIES: The teacher is responsible for the well-being and safety of the students, taking attendance, maintaining a functioning classroom, utilizing classroom management skills, leaving a clean classroom, and teaching the provided curriculum. Develop lesson plans and assignments to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students. Teach students business financial literacy topics which includes Financial & Business Management, Accounting, Business Law, Entrepreneurship, Marketing & International Business, and Career Development. Stay up-to-date on current financial topics, on-going evolution of global financial markets and industry market trends. Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment. Assess, evaluate and track student progress through in-class/at-home assignments, projects and exams. Effective and ongoing communication with parents, colleagues and administration. Attending meetings and maintaining professional development standards. QUALIFICATIONS: Experience teaching Business in secondary school preferred (with a valid Business and Marketing certification) Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field. Proven leadership, organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to engage, motivate and challenge students. Understanding of modern teaching techniques and use of classroom technologies. START: September 1, 2026 SALARY: According to the LVSEA Teachers Contract
