KLSD is looking for a thoughtful and knowledgeable educator to serve in the probationary position of Physical Education Teacher at the Elementary School level beginning September 1, 2026. Qualifications: Possess a current NYS certification in Physical Education K-12. NYS Health Education certification is not required but preferred. Coaching will be an expectation. Responsibilities: Exhibits knowledge of NY State Standards. Fosters a positive and inclusive classroom environment that prioritizes the social and emotional well-being of students and nurtures a sense of belonging. Actively participates in a professional learning community (PLC), engaging in ongoing, collaborative professional learning to refine and enhance instructional practice. Works with colleagues to analyze student data, share best practices, and implement research-based strategies that improve student outcomes. Hours: Full-time (10 month) Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2026 Salary: $64,276 - $152,199 as per the KLDTA contract
