KLSD is looking for a thoughtful and knowledgeable educator to serve in the probationary position of ENL Teacher at John Jay High School beginning September 1, 2025. Qualifications: NYS certification in TESOL P-12 Responsibilities include:Provide ENL instruction aligned to NYS Next Generation Learning Standards and students’ language proficiency levels.Modify content and instruction to meet the needs of English Language Learners at varying proficiency levels.Co-teach and implement inclusive instructional practices, while maintaining high expectations, to support multilingual learners across content areas.Administer and interpret NYSITELL and NYSESLAT assessments in accordance with NYSED regulations and guidelines.Use student data to inform instructional planning and intervention strategies.Reflect on professional practice and implement feedback to support continuous improvement.Engage regularly with families and partner with Community Based Organizations (CBOs) to provide resources for students and families.Actively participate in a professional learning community (PLC), engaging in ongoing, collaborative professional learning to refine and enhance instructional practice.Work with colleagues to analyze student data, share best practices, and implement research-based strategies that improve student outcomes. Hours: Full-time (10 month) Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2025 Salary: $62,699 - $141,489 as per the KLDTA contract
