The primary responsibility of our Speech-Language Pathologists is to provide excellent service and support to children and their families whom are in need of speech therapy services. In this role, your top priority will be to promote the achievement of each child’s individual therapeutic goals and objectives while operating within the guidelines set forth by the CPSE program and the student’s IEP. Must be a New York State licensed speech/language pathologist; pediatric experience is preferred. CFY will be considered.Key Responsibilities and Expectations:Provide speech/language services for preschool children as specified on their IEP in a center based preschool setting.Maintain accurate attendance sheets and daily session notes consisting of qualitative and quantitative data relative to IEP goals/objectives.Communicate with teachers, therapists and parents on a regular basis to discuss student progress and instructional strategies.Maintain written reports including requests for changes in services, quarterly progress notes, and annual review reports.Must be ASHA certified and have TSSLD/TSHH, CFY will be consideredWe have part-time hourly positions available and a possible full-time position that would be benefits eligible.Skills, Education and ExperienceMA or MS in Speech Pathology Must be a New York State licensed speech/language pathologistPediatric experience is preferred. Must be ASHA certified and have TSSLD/TSHH, CFY will be consideredCFY will be considered This position requires union participation in District Council 37 | AFSCME | AFL-CIO after 30 days of employment for anyone who works 15 or more hours a week Salary $45-$55 an hourPhysical Requirements:Physical demands of this position include but are not limited to sitting and standing for extended periods, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, and frequently moving or lifting children weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
