ANTICIPATED OPENING: SCHOOL YEAR 2022-2023 High School Teaching Assistant The Islip School District seeks a student-centered educator who is dedicated to professional growth and committed to the success of all students.CERTIFICATIONS: Must possess NYS Teacher Certification or Teaching Assistant Certification Level IIIResponsibilities: Provide academic support for struggling students in various subject areas.Collaborate with classroom teachers to provide support for students in our Alternative Learning Center during the school day.Implement interventions for students not meeting proficiency in academic areas.Provide support and feedback to students on classroom assignments.Help ensure that students’ testing accommodations are met.Must be well organized with strong verbal communication skills to communicate with stakeholders.All applicants must apply through OLAS only.Please provide 3 supervisory references with application.
