We are seeking an innovative educational leader who possesses strong leadership skills, highly effective communication skills, a deep understanding of New York State Learning Standards and their implementation, intermediate level curriculum mandates, and multi-modal pedagogy. The successful candidate will be able to create partnerships with faculty, staff, students, parents, and the District Leadership Team to ensure positive outcomes for all. Minimum qualifications: NYSED certification in administration (SBL, SAS, or SDA) and successful administrative and teaching experience, preferably at the middle school level. The ideal candidate should possess: Extensive knowledge of instructional leadership, including best practices, curriculum development, NYS Learning Standards, and assessment;Working knowledge of NYS requirements for students with disabilities (including 504 Plans) and English Language Learners;A commitment to collaborative planning with administrative team and faculty members to lead school improvement;A desire to maintain and build a school culture conducive to academic, social, and emotional learning;Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups;Outstanding oral and written communication skills;Strong technology skills, which include using technology as an instructional tool; andA willingness to learn and grow professionally.Completed application must include: cover letter, resume, and letters of recommendation._____________________________________________________________________________________
