Probationary Physics Teacher - Herricks High School - New York State Certification in Physics; experience teaching AP Physics C preferredSPECIFIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:Working knowledge of the physics standards;Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students;Plan and use appropriate instructional/learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflects accommodation for individual needs of students assigned;Student centered approach that promotes critical thinking;Incorporate instructional technology to promote student engagement and enhance the learning of physics;Present a positive role model for students that supports the mission of the school district;Maintain professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members;Other duties as assigned by the Principal or the Director of Science and Technology that will provide for a successful program.
