DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:Under the supervision of the Transportation Supervisor and Director of Facilities:· Operates a school bus to transport children and performs routine cleaning and related duties as required.· Sweeps, mops, washes walls, dusts, and performs other cleaning duties as needed.· Assists in cartage of supplies and equipment.· May set up and remove furniture for special affairs.· Ability to work independently and perform assigned tasks accurately and timely with considerable tact.· Strong communication skills.Monday - Friday 3:00 Pm - 11:30 PMPossession of a valid New York State Driver’s License with no convictions for moving violations during the past year and appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated. In addition, drivers must be at least 21 years of age.Candidates must satisfy all requirements of Article 19-A of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law. In addition, candidates must satisfy the requirements for School Bus Driver set forth in the Rules and Regulations of the New York State Commissioner of Education.Applicants for this position require Civil Service Clearance and must be fingerprinted.
