Description: The Harborfields Central School District is seeking a Permanent Substitute Teacher to support instruction at Thomas J. Lahey Elementary School . This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring educators to gain valuable classroom experience, work closely with students and staff, and be part of a supportive and professional school community. Responsibilities Include: Providing daily instructional coverage for absent teachers Implementing lesson plans and maintaining a productive classroom environment Supporting student learning and engagement in all subject areas Collaborating with grade-level teams and support staff Assisting with school duties such as hallway, lunchroom, or recess supervision as needed Qualifications: Valid NYSED certification - Childhood Education Grades 1–6 is required. Classroom experience preferred Reliable, flexible, and eager to contribute to a positive school climate Strong interpersonal and communication skills Why Harborfields?
