The Harborfields Central School District is accepting applications for a Permanent Substitute School Counselor for the 2025–2026 school year. The successful candidate will provide counseling services on an as-needed basis within the Guidance Department and support the academic, social, and emotional development of students.Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Provide individual and group counseling to students.Assist students with academic planning, course selection, and graduation requirements.Support post-secondary planning, including college and career readiness.Address student social-emotional needs and participate in crisis intervention.Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians.Maintain required records and documentation.Qualifications:New York State Education Department Certification as a School Counselor required.Prior experience working in a school counseling setting preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Position Details:School year positionFull-time, daily assignment as a Permanent Substitute in the Guidance DepartmentApplication Procedure: Interested candidates should apply on OLAS and submit:Letter of interest (Addressed to Milton Josephs, Executive Director of Human Resources)Resume
