Description: The Harborfields Central School District is seeking a dependable and student-focused Permanent Elementary Substitute Teacher – Special Education to provide consistent classroom coverage and instructional support in elementary special education programs. The successful candidate will support students with disabilities and maintain continuity of instruction when the classroom teacher is absent. Primary Responsibilities Include: Provide daily coverage in elementary special education classroom Follow lesson plans and support student learning Implement accommodations and supports as outlined in IEPs Maintain a positive and structured learning environment Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administrators Qualifications: New York State Education Department Special Education certification required Experience working with elementary students with disabilities preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Application Instructions Qualified candidates must apply through OLAS only and submit a resume, cover letter addressed to Milton Josephs, Executive Director of Human Resources , and proof of New York State certification.
