Agriculture & Technology Education Teacher Harpursville Central School District, a tight-knit and supportive school community that values agriculture and career and technical education opportunities for its students, is seeking a dedicated and student-centered tenure-track Agriculture and Technology Education Teacher to join our Junior/Senior High School instructional team. Position Overview: The successful candidate will provide Agriculture and Technology Education to students in grades 6-12. Harpursville Central School District emphasizes hands-on, experiential learning and strong connections between the school, families, and the broader community. Responsibilities: Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction aligned with New York State Learning Standards Teach middle and high school courses in Agriculture Education and Technology Education coursework Develop and implement effective lesson plans, projects, and assessments Maintain a safe, organized classroom, shop, and/or laboratory environment Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, families, and community partners Integrate instructional technology, tools, and equipment appropriately Participate in faculty meetings, professional learning, and collaborative planning Support extracurricular, FFA, or career-connected learning opportunities as appropriate Qualifications: Valid New York State Teaching Certification in Agriculture Education, Technology Education, or a related area preferred Candidates working toward certification or with relevant agricultural or technical industry experience are encouraged to apply Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to build meaningful relationships with students in a supportive, community-focused district Commitment to hands-on, experiential, and career-connected learning
