The James I. O'Neill High School is seeking a NYS certified high school Spanish teacher for the 2025-2026 school year who aligns with our vision of providing our students, educators and the communities we serve with the global knowledge, cultural understanding and skills needed to compete in the global community. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the NYS Approved World Language - Spanish Curriculum, demonstrate an understanding of effective practices which promote a student-centered learning environment, and feels comfortable integrating technology in the classroom. Experience with college level courses such as AP is a plus. NYS certification in Special Education (Gr. 7-12) is also a plus. Candidates should have previous experience working with adolescents.Requirements:Candidates must hold NYS certification in Spanish (Gr. 7-12);NYSED fingerprint clearance.Please submit a cover letter and resume for consideration.
