The Fort Montgomery Elementary School and the Highland Falls Intermediate School are seeking a NYS certified Art Teacher beginning in the 2025-2026 school year who aligns with our vision of providing our students, educators and the communities we serve with the global knowledge, cultural understanding and skills needed to compete in the global community.The Art teacher should possess the ability to effectively instruct a diverse array of classes utilizing alternative mediums. The ideal candidate will be tasked with designing and delivering engaging art lessons that promote creativity and artistic growth among young students. This includes teaching fundamental art techniques such as drawing, painting, and sculpting, while ensuring that the curriculum aligns with state standards. Additionally, the teacher will manage art supplies and cultivate a safe and inspiring classroom environment for students in preschool through sixth grade. The Art Teacher will be responsible for clearly demonstrating art techniques through thorough explanations and visual examples, and will create learning experiences that encourage self-exploration and personal expression.Candidates must hold a valid NYS Art or Visual Art certification. Previous experience working with adolescents is preferred.NYS fingerprint clearance is required.
