The Highland Falls - Fort Montgomery Central School District is seeking a long term substitute to work as an Elementary Education Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. The school district is looking for inspiring educators who possess the skills to provide appropriate learning experiences for students in a variety of ways, as well as collaborate with colleagues. Successful candidates should have/be:New York State TEACH fingerprint clearance;A New York State Teaching Certificate in Childhood Education (1-6);Comprehensive knowledge of New York State Next Generation Learning Standards and mandates;An individual who can uphold our district’s core values of Readiness, Inclusion, Social Justice, and Empathy. A strong understanding of pedagogical practices that promote a student-centered learning environment;The ability to establish a shared commitment to the goals of the school and the District by building strong relationships with administrators, fellow staff, students, and parents alike;Instructional leaders who embrace risk-taking and innovations, and can identify programs that reflect best practice;Organized individuals with strong problem-solving skills and experience in cultivating a thriving and proficient curriculum;Compassionate educators with the ability to not only engage students in meaningful instruction, but the desire and capacity to grow through both the teaching and learning experience overall;
