The Highland Falls-Fort Montgomery Central School District is seeking candidates for a full time teacher of English as a New Language (Grades 9-12) for the 2022-2023 school year.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Co-teaching and collaborating with teachers in a variety of content areas;Providing pull out services to students as required by Part 154 of the NYS Commissioner's Regulations;Conducting NYSITELL and NYSESLAT testing;Keeping accurate and detailed student records;Monitoring and assessing student progress;Keeping an open line of communication with families;Collaborating with the guidance department regarding students' needs and scheduling requirements.The successful candidate will have: A strong knowledge of the NYS Next Generation Learning Standards;Demonstrate an understanding of effective pedagogical practices that promote a student-centered learning environment;Be a strong student advocate;Feel comfortable integrating technology as an instructional and learning tool;Requirements:NYS TESOL 9-12 certification;NYSED fingerprint clearance;Fluency in Spanish is preferred.Please submit a cover letter and resume for consideration.Job ID: 22-6
