James I. O’Neill High School is seeking a full time American Sign Language Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. Successful candidates are those who align with our vision of providing our students, educators and the communities we serve with the global knowledge, cultural understanding and skills needed to compete in the global community.An ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate proficiency with using technology in the classroom, have enthusiasm and strong interpersonal skills; be a collaborative team player willing to work with a wide range of students, families, faculty and staff. Interest in extracurricular activities and interscholastic sports is a plus.Candidates must be certified in NYS American Sign Language 7-12 and have previous experience working with adolescents.NYSED fingerprint clearance is required.
