Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and Leadership Development12 Month Position 3 or 4 Year Probationary Appointment GENERAL DUTIES This is a district cabinet level position with administrative responsibility for the following areas: 1) district-wide personnel administration of all administrative, instructional and non-instructional staff; 2) recruitment and hiring district-wide; 3) evaluation of faculty, staff, and administration; 4) contract management for civil service/instructional staff and administrators / negotiations; 5) leadership professional learning. In addition, administrative responsibilities include assisting in the development of annual goals and long-range planning, supervision of staff certification, and development of staffing plans supported by district-level budget. The Assistant Superintendent can function as the administrator in charge in the absence of the Superintendent.QUALIFICATIONS Masters degree or Doctorate New York State Teaching Certificate New York State Administrative Certificate (One of the following): New York State School District Administrative Certificate (SDA);
