23-24 School Year VacancyTechnology & Communication TeacherOur Middle School is looking for a full time probationary Technology and Communication Teacher for grades 6-8.A successful candidate will be able to:Develop and implement a high quality, up-to-date technology education curriculum,for grade 6-8 which students can apply to their academic learning and their lives beyond school.Promote students’ comprehensive understanding of the uses and application of technology.Design real-life, engaging learning experiences that employ technology and implement units of study aligned with technology standards.Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress on a regular basis.Develop, design, and implement differentiated lessons and programs to address specific student learning challenges.As requested, collaborate with instructional teams in the preparation of student IEP’s and BIP’s.Work collaboratively with building-level teams to support students academically, socially, and emotionally.Identify and provide opportunities for students to explore life and career goals.Qualifications:New York State Computer Science or Educational Teaching Certification or similar CTE CertificationUp-to-Date knowledge and understanding of the New York State Technology Education Learning Standards, New York State K-12 Computer and Digital Fluency Learning Standards, and the Next Generation Learning Standards.
