The Hendrick Hudson Central School District is looking for an exceptional school superintendent who is a person of character and integrity, who takes personal ownership of the outcome of District initiatives, and for whom the success of the District is a priority. The ideal candidate will lead by inspiring, innovating, and reuniting our schools; be a dynamic presence in our school community; and frequent district buildings, attend events, visit classrooms, and develop partnerships within the community, county, and state.We are looking for: A collaborative leader with solid communication and “people” skills, who will:• be visible, accessible, build consensus, and inspire all district stakeholders to achieve mutually developed goals;• cultivate an environment of comfort and openness; and• encourage feedback from staff, students, and the community. A leader who raises expectations for all students to succeed by:• offering 21st century programs that enable students to be successful in the ever-changing world of work;• ensuring students pursue opportunities and experiences that lead to college and career readiness; and• expecting academic rigor in all course offerings. A leader who will celebrate a vibrant and inclusive school community that values diversity and cultural competence by:• bringing proven experience working with diverse backgrounds, ensuring equal opportunities across all academics, arts, sports, and more, while fostering a strong sense of belonging for all; and• advancing the district academically, socially, and emotionally while creating positive overall school experiences. A visionary strategist who:• skillfully assesses and evaluates the financial health of the district;• develops a five-to-ten-year facilities and grounds plan, ensuring safety and security in a changing school community environment;• develops a long-term action plan that sustains a stable tax base for all residents;• seeks long-term, alternative funding mechanisms to enable the district to allocate resources equitably across all schools; and• pursues all available state, federal, school foundation and other grant opportunities.To be considered for this position of Superintendent of the Hendrick Hudson Central School District, candidates must complete the application, upload a current resume and applicable professional credentials and certifications.
