We are seeking a dedicated Science Special Education Teacher to join our team. The teacherwill be responsible for creating a supportive learning environment, meeting instructional goals,and adhering to professional standards and school policies.Key Responsibilities:Plan and implement instructional activities tailored to students' individual needsUtilize evidence-based strategies and programs to support literacy and academicdevelopmentEstablish a positive and respectful classroom environment, including adherence tosafety and behavioral protocolsEvaluate student progress through assessments and work aligned with their IEP goalsCollaborate with staff to enhance student learning and support IEP objectivesIntegrate technology and electronic tools to enhance instructionParticipate in professional development and attend required meetingsServe as a positive role model for students and staffMaintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and proceduresQualifications:Valid New York State Teacher Certification in Special EducationValid New York State Teacher Certification in a Science content area (Grades 7–12)Experience working with students with disabilities is preferredKnowledge of curriculum and strategies for supporting learnersStrong interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated integrity, ethical behavior, and commitment to student successStarting Salary:$52,288 - $72,056
