Leave Replacement Physical Education TeacherJob Description:This is a leave replacement position from January 5, 2026 to April 15, 2026. We are seeking a dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our team. The teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality physical education instruction, promoting student health and wellness, and supporting a safe learning environment in accordance with school policies and professional standards.Key Responsibilities:Plan and implement developmentally appropriate physical education lessons aligned withstudent abilities, IEP goals, and state standards.Promote physical fitness, motor development, teamwork, and sportsmanship in allactivities.Maintain a safe environment by teaching and enforcing rules, safety protocols, and properequipment use.Assess student progress through observations, skill assessments, and documentationrelated to IEP objectives.Adapt activities, equipment, and instruction to meet the diverse needs of students withdisabilities.Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure consistency of studentsupports and services.Participate in professional development, school meetings, and trainings as required.Serve as a positive role model while upholding school policies, expectations, andconfidentiality.Qualifications:Valid New York State Teacher Certification in Physical Education.Experience working with students with disabilities strongly preferred.Knowledge of adapted physical education strategies and safe movement practices.Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to student health and success.Salary:$52,288 - $72,056.
