Special Education Teacher – Computer ScienceJob Description:We are seeking a passionate Computer Science and Technology Teacher to join our team. Theteacher will be responsible for delivering engaging technology instruction to K–12 students in asupportive special education environment, meeting instructional goals, and adhering toprofessional standards and school policies.Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a dynamic computer science curriculum aligned with studentIEPs and grade-level expectations Utilize educational technology, coding platforms, and assistive tools to enhance studentlearning and digital literacy Foster a classroom culture that promotes safety, respect, and accessibility Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs Collaborate with staff to support students’ academic, social, and functional goals Participate in professional development and required school meetings Serve as a positive role model for students and staff Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and proceduresQualifications: Valid New York State Teacher Certification in Special Education or Students withDisabilities (K-6 or 7–12) preferred Certification or background in Computer Science, Technology Education, or EducationalTechnology preferred Knowledge of curriculum and strategies for supporting learners Strong interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated integrity, ethical behavior, and commitment to student successStarting Salary:$52,288 - $72,056
