Living Environment Teacher (High School)Job Description:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Living Environment Teacher to join our high schoolteam. The teacher will be responsible for creating an engaging and supportive science learningenvironment, meeting instructional goals, and adhering to professional standards and schoolpolicies.Key Responsibilities:Plan and deliver instructional activities aligned with New York State Living Environmentstandards.Develop and implement lessons that incorporate laboratory activities and hands-onexperiences to foster scientific inquiry.Establish a positive and respectful classroom environment, ensuring adherence to labsafety protocols.Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations aligned withcurriculum goals.Collaborate with colleagues to enhance student learning and support interdisciplinaryinitiatives.Integrate technology and multimedia tools to enrich science instruction.Participate in professional development opportunities and school meetings.Serve as a positive role model for students and colleagues.Maintain confidentiality and comply with all school policies and procedures.Qualifications:Valid New York State Teacher Certification in Biology or Science Education with a focuson Living Environment.Valid New York State Teacher Certification in Special Education is preferred but notrequired.Experience teaching high school students preferred.Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and procedures.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Commitment to fostering a love of science and supporting student success.Salary:$52,288 - $72,056
