TO: ALL TEACHERS AND STAFF POSTING DATE: Friday, June 5, 2026 CLOSING DATE: Thursday, June 11, 2026 RE: Anticipated Summer School 2026 Teachers SUMMER SCHOOL 2026 -WMHS Description: The Greenburgh Central School District is seeking qualified instructional staff for the Woodlands Middle High School Summer School Credit Recovery Program. The program serves students in grades 9-12 recovering credit in Algebra I and Biology through a blended model of direct instruction and Edgenuity-supported coursework. Preference given to candidates with demonstrated success in credit recovery, intervention, Regents preparation, or summer learning environments. All positions require participation in a mandatory pre-program orientation session. Program Dates: Monday, June 29 or Tuesday, June 30 (Orientation); Monday, July 6 through Thursday, July 30, 2026 (Instruction M-Th; no Friday’s) Program Hours: 8:00 AM -1:15PM Compensation: $60/hour Algebra I Summer School Teacher Position 1 Teacher of Record Responsibilities Direct instruction for Algebra I credit recovery Small-group instruction aligned to Regents standards; skill development Monitor Edgenuity progress; maintain attendance & grades Determine final grades and credit eligibility Communicate regularly with students and families Collaborate with principal, ENL, Special Education, counselor & facilitator Support students preparing for August Regents exam Qualifications NYS Certification in Mathematics 7–12 (required) Experience teaching Algebra I preferred Credit recovery or Regents prep experience preferred Strong documentation and family communication skills Biology Summer School Teacher Position 1 Teacher of Record Responsibilities Direct instruction for Biology credit recovery Small-group instruction aligned to Regents standards; skill development Ensure students are meeting lab minutes, as applicable Monitor Edgenuity progress; maintain attendance & grades Determine final grades and credit eligibility Communicate regularly with students and families Collaborate with principal, ENL, Special Education, counselor & facilitator Support students preparing for August Regents exam Qualifications NYS Certification in Biology or Life Sciences (required) Experience teaching Regents Biology preferred Credit recovery or intervention experience preferred Strong documentation and family communication skills ENL Summer School Teacher Position 1 Responsibilities Push-in support for Multilingual Learners during instruction Collaborate with Algebra I and Biology teachers on accommodations Monitor ELL student progress in credit recovery Support students during Edgenuity lab periods Assist with family communication as needed Participate in planning and progress monitoring meetings Qualifications NYS ENL Certification (required) Experience with secondary English Language Learners Special Education Summer School Teacher Position 1 Responsibilities Push-in, co-teaching, and consultative support Ensure IEP accommodations and modifications are implemented Collaborate with content teachers on student needs Support students during Edgenuity lab periods Participate in progress monitoring and intervention planning Assist with compliance-related documentation Qualifications NYS Special Education Certification (required) Experience with secondary students with disabilities Knowledge of Regents pathways and credit recovery preferred Edgenuity Learning Facilitator Position 1 Responsibilities Supervise students during Edgenuity learning lab periods Monitor daily progress, engagement, and completion rates Provide organizational and motivational support Communicate attendance and progress concerns to staff Maintain accurate progress monitoring records Assist with family outreach on completion status During Regents weeks, support review activities and continuity Qualifications NYS Teaching Certification (required) Experience with Edgenuity or credit recovery programs preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Demonstrated student relationship-building ability Administrator licence preferred Rolling application period until positions are filled Email resume and letter of intent to: certified@greenburghcsd.org
