Position The Greenburgh Central School District, a PreK-12 International Baccalaureate district, seeks a motivated Instructional Coach for Technology to support teachers district-wide in leveraging technology to deepen student thinking, strengthen productive discourse, and advance equitable access to rigorous learning. This role partners with teachers and administrators to align technology integration with NYSED standards, IB frameworks, and district instructional priorities. The coach provides job-embedded professional development, facilitates PLC learning cycles, and supports data-informed instructional design This is a 12-month position; duties and responsibilities are subject to change, and additional, related assignments may be required. Duties The responsibilities below outline the primary duties of the position. This list is not intended to be all-inclusive, and additional related duties may be assigned as needed: Collaboration and Support - Work closely with Pre-K-12 teachers, support staff, and administrators to design and implement technology-enhanced instructional strategies that improve student engagement and achievement; - Facilitate Professional Learning Community meetings with Library Media Specialists and Computer Science teachers to ensure alignment of digital learning goals across grade levels; - Serve on the districtwide PLC Core Team. Curriculum Development and Standards Alignment - Lead the development of district-wide grade-level expectations and curricula encompassing both the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence and the NYS Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards; - Collaborate with teachers to embed the usage of best practices in instructional technology within the units of study at each level/content area; - Support the infusion of IB principles and inquiry-based learning into digitally enhanced instruction; - Support strategic planning for emerging technologies (AI, STEAM integration, AR/VR, 3D printing) aligned to district instructional goals. Professional Development and Training - Develop and deliver professional learning related to the ethical and instructional use of Artificial Intelligence in classrooms; - Provide training on digital formative assessment tools to inform teaching and learning; - Support the development of teacher capacity in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and differentiated instructional strategies using digital tools; - Provide website support to faculty and administrative staff; - Design and facilitate parent workshops related to digital literacy, AI awareness, and responsible technology use. Data, Compliance and System Support; - Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support the collection and analysis of student performance data using instructional systems and district software programs; - Disaggregate digital platform data to identify trends in student growth and inform targeted instructional support; - Monitor implementation of digital initiatives and provide feedback to district leadership regarding impact on student learning; - Collaborate with instructional leaders to preview and test requested/proposed software programs to determine their efficacy before purchase and implementation, ensuring compliance with Ed Law 2-d; - Assist in the implementation and oversight of the district's 1:1 learning program; - Maintain software/hardware instructional technology inventories; - Assist in budget planning and preparation related to educational technology. Qualifications Master’s degree; Educational Technology Specialist certification Minimum of 4 years of experience Demonstrated impact on student achievement through technology integration Experience coaching adults Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Proven ability to leverage innovative teaching practices and Google Workspace to enhance student learning, with practical knowledge of emerging technologies- STEAM, AR/VR, and 3D printing. - Familiarity with data analytics platforms to support student growth trends. - Deep knowledge of content standards, effective instructional strategies, and assessment-driven instruction. - Highly effective communication, listening, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to plan, organize, and deliver training to instructional staff. - Ability to work effectively with district administrators, faculty, vendors, and end users. - Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, to various stakeholders. - Sound judgment, innovative, and flexible. APPOINTMENT: Appointment to this position shall be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, following a comprehensive review of the candidate’s training, experience, certifications, credentials, and demonstrated qualifications.
