Greenburgh-North Castle UFSD is seeking a full-time, 1.0 School Counselor to be shared between two of our schools: Kaplan Career Academy in New Windsor, NY, and REACH Academy in West Harrison, NY. This is a 10-month position, with 10 additional days required over the Extended School Year (ESY) summer program. RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist in creating and managing the master schedule and individual student schedules.Help with the enrollment and orientation process for new students.Evaluate students' abilities and interests through aptitude tests, interviews, and goal-setting discussions.Identify students' strengths and passions by using assessments, interviews, and transition planning.Assist staff in using the Student Information System (SIS) and troubleshoot basic technical issues.Maintain and retrieve student records, such as report cards and transcripts.Work directly with students to provide academic and social-emotional support.Collaborate with school administrators to address student challenges and opportunities.Assist school administrators with various tasks as needed.QUALIFICATIONS: NYS certification as a School Counselor (required)Knowledge of eSchool Plus or equivalent SIS (preferred)Knowledge of Google Workspace applications (preferred)Strong technology skills (preferred)SALARY: Per Greenburgh-North Castle United Teacher's Unit contract and experience.Greenburgh-North Castle UFSD is a leading New York State Special Act public school district serving over 450 students aged 9-21 across four schools in multiple counties.
