The Marketing Coordinator works with the leadership teams of all of the schools and business lines under the Greenwich Education Group, LLC (“GEG”) umbrella to develop and execute the marketing and enrollment plans and works to raise the visibility of GEG’s schools and educational services. The Marketing Coordinator also oversees internal and external communications on behalf of GEG, its schools, and other lines of business. This role will be a mix of remote and in-person.Responsibilities: The specific areas of the Marketing Coordinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop strategic positioning statements and action plans to address emergent challenges for each line of business and GEG overall Strong graphic design background (creating flyers, invites, website, materials for events). Make website updates and improvements Assist with Events and technical aspects of virtual events like webinars as well as the planning the events (invites, registration, etc.)Develop strategic positioning statements and action plans to address emergent challenges for each line of business and GEG overall Develop internal programs and events for student, family, and staff recognition Provide writing and editing support for school and websites, newsletters, and other materials. Maintain media relations and outreach, including coordinating and managing crisis communication. Ensure that important events receive appropriate photo or video coverage through the use of either in-house personnel or outside freelancers. Design and preparation of digital and print advertising and marketing materials. Develop and implement strategic social media initiatives, including advertising campaigns and targeted marketing campaigns designed to raise brand awareness, increase the quality and quantity of website traffic, and encourage follow-through on calls to action. Manage and optimize online presence, including social media and SEO. Oversee sponsorship and outreach activities for the schools. Create events to bring new potential parents and referrers into the schools. Develop partnerships to position our Heads of School and school leaders as thought leaders and speakers for outside organizations that align with our marketing and enrollment goals.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications:Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, visual arts) or commensurate work-related experience A minimum of 3 years in a communications or marketing role and a strong writing/creative portfolio Familiarity with the educational field, independent schools, and/or nonprofit work is preferred Demonstrated ability to produce and edit high-quality writing, photography, and videography (proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and/or other photo and video-editing software is preferred) Experience working with a website Content Management System (CMS) Flexibility to attend occasional school-related events and activities outside of the normal workday as needed Possesses a team-player mentality with the instinct to pitch in and help others Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to write for web and print while ensuring high editorial standards, consistency, and brand/style adherence.Compensation:Compensation commensurate with experience and education.Benefits and Terms and Conditions of Employment:All benefits and other terms and conditions of employment, as stated in the GEG Employee Handbook, may be amended from time to time.Supervision and Evaluation:The Marketing Coordinator reports directly to the President and Founder of GEG who supervises and evaluates their role.
