The successful candidate will begin on or about September 1, 2024. This is a full-time probationary appointment leading toward tenure. Preference to individuals with ESOL and Elementary Certification Those working toward ESOL Certification will also be considered. This position will be posted on OLAS and application may be submitted there. Responsibilities:Provide ENL services to students (K-12)Provide Academic Intervention service in the area of Math and/or Reading (K-6)Challenge and educate students in a classroom settingDevelop and implement engaging lesson plansAdhere to the established teaching curriculumMaintain positive relationships with students and parentsDocument and share student grades and evaluationsMaintain the health and safety of all studentsCollaborate with classroom teachers, special education, and academic intervention service providersKnowledge of computers, technology, google suite, is strongly desiredQualifications:Strong classroom management skillsAbility to build rapport with students, parents, and staffExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong leadership qualitiesIn accordance with New York State certification requirements for ESOL Certification is preferred, but applicants pursuing certification (nearing completion) are also encouraged to applyPreference given to applicants with K-6 Elementary Certification and Special Education.Application deadline is June 14, 2024
