GROUNDSKEEPER Twelve Month Opening*Candidate must possess: Two years of satisfactory experience in grounds maintenance work (i.e. mowing lawns, trimming hedges, reseeding and fertilizing of lawns and caring for trees, shrubs and flowers; participating in the maintenance of recreational areas. Operating a variety of grounds maintenance equipment: tractors, skid steers, ride on the mowers, chainsaws, etc. Knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in cleaning operations Ability to establish and maintain positive relations with others Ability to work flexible hours as needed such as weekends, long work days, snow removal in the early a.m. hours. Eligibility in accordance with Nassau County Civil Service Regulations.
