Freeport Public Schools is seeking a Music Teacher for the Caroline G. Atkinson Intermediate School in the area of General Music for grades 5 and 6. The position may also include choral lessons for small group instruction. The successful candidate will prepare students for annual winter and spring festivals of the Arts, Hispanic Heritage and Black History celebrations, and other community performances as needed. Piano accompaniment skills preferred but not required. Candidates must possess certification in Music K-12. Candidates must posses: ¨ Appropriate NYS certification ¨ Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relations with students, parents, and staff ¨ Understanding of meeting the needs of multicultural students
