Jr./Sr. High School Science Teacher This is a 10-month, probationary position. Required Qualifications: Candidate must possess a NYS Science Education Teacher Certification. Per current FPTA contract; level of education and experience will be considered. This position reports to the Building Principal. The Jr./Sr. High School Science Teacher will be responsible for providing instruction to students in grades 7-12. Preference will be given to candidates who possess experience teaching Physics. The ideal candidate will: Have a strong understanding of best practices for teaching, learning and assessment Use developmentally appropriate strategies to promote student engagement with the content Create a positive learning environment Possess strong verbal and written communication skills Build positive relationships with colleagues Promote family engagement whenever possible
