The Florida Union Free School District is seeking teachers in all certification areas to teach summer school in the district’s Summer Enrichment Experience (SEE), with Childhood Education – Grades 1-6, English 7 - 12, and/or Mathematics 7-12 certification preferred. The position would begin on July 19, 2022 and end on August 12, 2022.Responsibilities: Attend 4 one-hour after-school summer curriculum planning meetings in the months of May and June 2022. Spend an additional 4 hours planning curriculum, to be shared with program administration prior to the start of Summer School. Teach one mixed grade (with no more than two grade bands that are aligned wherever possible to your certification level) summer school class of no more than 15 students. Summer school hours for teachers will be 8 AM - 1 PM, with 3.5 hours for teaching and 1.5 hours for planning/preparation. The SEE program will take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Be committed to planning a creative, experiential learning-centered learning experience over the course of four weeks for your students!The hourly rate for this position will be $48/hour.
