Teacher Assistant roleJob Overview:The Preschool Temporary Teacher Aide will work closely with the classroom teacher to help create a safe, welcoming, and educational environment for children aged 3-4. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in early childhood education.Key Responsibilities:Assist with daily activities: Help the teacher with lesson plans, activities, and general classroom management, ensuring children are engaged and supervised.Support individual and group activities: Assist children with tasks such as arts and crafts, reading time, outdoor play, and other educational games.Behavior management: Aid in reinforcing positive behavior, offering guidance and support as children learn social and emotional skills.Maintain a clean and organized classroom: Ensure toys, books, and materials are properly stored and the space remains tidy and safe.Provide emotional support: Offer comfort and guidance to children who may need extra attention, helping them adjust to the preschool environment.Monitor children’s health and safety: Ensure the well-being of the children, including keeping an eye on any potential hazards, administering first aid when needed, and helping with personal care needs.Communicate with parents and staff: Assist in maintaining communication with parents about children's progress, activities, and any concerns.Assist with administrative tasks: Help with record-keeping, filing, and organizing educational materials and children’s work.Participate in staff meetings: Attend team meetings to discuss progress and any concerns about individual children.Qualifications:High school diploma (or equivalent) required; Associate’s degree or certification in early childhood education is a plus.Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a classroom or childcare setting.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and children.Patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for working with children.Ability to handle various classroom tasks, including light lifting, cleaning, and organizing.Physical Demands:Ability to move around the classroom and outdoor play areas.Ability to kneel, squat, or bend to assist children with various activities.Must be able to remain on their feet for extended periods.This is a temporary role lasting a maximum of 4 months
