The district is seeking a motivated individual who meets the following qualifications: New York State Teacher Certification: Technology 7-12 Certificate (Initial, Professional) or equivalent. Candidates who possess a CTE extension should also apply. Experience: We welcome applications from individuals at all levels of experience. Experience teaching at the middle and high school levels is preferred. The ideal candidate will also possess the following qualities: Knowledge of New York State Learning Standards Experience with CAD, coding, and robotics Ability to teach a wide array of courses including media arts Content knowledge of technology coursework, including shop safety protocols Understanding of effective classroom management techniques Willingness to participate in extra-curricular activities The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities, which are subject to change: Teach four to five class periods throughout the school day Additional responsibilities include a daily professional duty period The East Rockaway School District offers a competitive salary and benefits package, which is established in the East Rockaway Teacher’s Association Contract for the 2026-27 school year.
