The district is seeking a motivated individual who meets the following qualifications: New York State Teacher Certification Required:Childhood Education 1-6 (Initial or Professional)Additional New York State Teacher Certification Preferred:Students With Disabilities (All Grades) Certificate (Initial, Professional) or equivalentExperience:We welcome applications from individuals at all levels of experience. The ideal candidate will also possess the following qualities: Knowledge of Science of Reading Methodologies and Eureka Math.Knowledge of NYS Next Generation Science Standards and K-12 Social Studies Framework.Experience with Google Suite for Education and familiarity with instructional technology and remote instruction.Experience delivering data driven, small group, targeted instruction to students.Proven classroom management experience and methods for student engagement.Knowledge of student assessment techniques and best practices.Experience collaborating and planning effectively with colleagues.Experience communicating effectively with parents. The East Rockaway School District offers a competitive salary, which is established in the East Rockaway Teacher’s Association Contract for the 2025-26 school year.
