Job Title: Teacher’s Aide Location: East Ramapo Central School District, Rockland County, NY Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (depending on school needs) Position Overview: The East Ramapo Central School District is seeking compassionate and dedicated Teacher’s Aides to join our team. The Teacher’s Aide will assist classroom teachers in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education, enjoy working with children, and want to make a positive impact in the school community. Key Responsibilities:Assist teachers in delivering instructional materials and activities.Support students with individualized instruction under the direction of the classroom teacher.Provide supervision and guidance during classroom activities, recess, and lunch periods.Assist students with special needs in completing assignments and following directions.Help with classroom management, including maintaining a positive and safe learning environment.Assist in the preparation and organization of classroom materials and resources.Accompany students during transitions between classes, as needed.Support teachers in assessing student progress and behavior.Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or school administration.Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent (required).Experience working with children in an educational setting (preferred).Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.Patience, understanding, and flexibility in meeting the needs of students.A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience as a Teacher’s Aide or similar role.Experience working with special education students is a plus.Salary & Benefits:Salary is commensurate with experience.Benefits include health insuranceApplication Process: Interested candidates should submit their application, including a resume and cover letter, via OLAS.
