We serve a diverse community and are committed to developing leaders who inspire and support student success.Position Summary:The East Ramapo Central School District is seeking a dedicated and dynamic educational leader to serve as an Assistant Principal at the high school level. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Principal, faculty, staff, students, and the community to promote a positive and academically rigorous school environment. The Assistant Principal will support student achievement, instructional excellence, and school-wide operations while fostering a culture of respect, equity, and inclusion.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the administration of daily school operations, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.Support and supervise instructional programs to improve student achievement.Work closely with teachers to implement data-driven instruction and best teaching practices.Monitor and support student behavior, discipline, and attendance in accordance with district policies.Lead and participate in faculty and department meetings, professional development, and curriculum planning.Engage families and the broader school community to foster strong relationships and collaboration.Assist with staff evaluation, hiring, and mentoring to ensure high-quality instruction and professional growth.Support the implementation of school and district-wide initiatives to enhance academic success.Collaborate with student support services, including guidance, special education, and intervention teams, to meet diverse student needs.Assist in overseeing state assessments, school safety procedures, and crisis management protocols.Qualifications:New York State School Building Leader (SBL) or School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS) certification required.Minimum five (5) years of teaching experience at the secondary level preferred.Demonstrated leadership experience in an educational setting.Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and data-driven decision-making.Experience with student discipline, restorative practices, and behavior intervention strategies.Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.Ability to foster a collaborative and positive school culture.Salary & Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience and district guidelines.Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and professional development opportunities.How to Apply:Interested candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, and two professional references through the East Ramapo Central School District online application system or via olasjobs.org.Application Deadline: Open until filled.The East Ramapo Central School District is an equal opportunity employer.
