Position Title: Assistant Coordinator of Extended Learning Time Location: Pomona Middle School Education/Certification: Masters Degree Valid NYS Teacher Certification Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years teaching experience Exceptional communication and facilitation skills Proven experience as a program leader or organizer in an educational setting Familiarity with spreadsheets and basic financial and facilities management principles Proven success in solving problems in program implementation in ways that are resourceful and respectful Collaborative leadership style Experience in and/or demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement workshops, including presentations to adults and students Ability to manage many projects at once and prioritize well Organizational and decision-making skills to ensure projects are cost-effective and funds are managed/monitored wisely Job Description: We are seeking an experienced educator to for our student enrichment programs; to coordinate daily support operations of the Extended Learning Time (ELT) program at Pomona Middle School. The Assistant Coordinator will oversee operations of the grant-funded program at Pomona Middle School and ensure contractual compliance with funders and subcontractors. The Assistant Coordinator will contribute to the design of programs AND be responsible for the implementation and evaluation of program activities. Major Responsibilities and Duties: Serve as liaison between the ELT Coordinator and school administrators and outside agencies and service providers. Managing the Pomona Lunch and Learn, Afterschool Program, Saturday Academy, and building enrichment programs Facilitate the purchase and distribution of resources and materials to support the program, in accordance to district policy Organize payroll for programs - recording and submitting work vouchers to district office for payment through established process Maintain communication with parents/guardians regarding program updates and progress. Conduct needs assessment using local internal data of Pomona needs and assist in planning activities to meet those needs. Collaborate with building administrators and partner agencies to encourage community and parent involvement. Monitor costs and expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness. Oversee the monitoring of the inventory of program materials at Pomona to ensure supplies are adequate. In collaboration with ELT Coordinator and with partner contractor, coordinate busing for all students and ensure proper attendance is taken each day. Ensure each Pomona program is staffed and serve as either A fill in as program staff member when needed or assign a substitute when available. Access and share student data to gauge program effectiveness, following district protocols for student data sharing. Provide quarterly report evaluating impact of programs Other duties as assigned.
