Glenn High School Effective: September 2026 Description: The Elwood UFSD is seeking a highly qualified, dynamic educator to join our secondary science department in a probationary position. The ideal candidate is passionate about inspiring students through hands-on, inquiry-based instruction and committed to fostering a deep understanding of Earth Science concepts aligned with the New York State Science Learning Standards (NYSSLS). The successful candidate will: Maintain transparent and proactive communication with families regarding student progress. Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment where all perspectives are valued. Demonstrate continuous professional growth and a "positive mindset" toward educational innovation. Requirements: Current NYS certification in Earth Science (7–12) Current NYS certification in either Physics, Chemistry, or Biology (preferred) Compensation: In accordance with the contract between the District and the Elwood Teachers’ Alliance.
