Location: Harley Avenue Primary School (Grades K-2) James H. Boyd Intermediate School (3-5) Effective: Anticipated September 2026 Description: The Elwood UFSD is seeking a highly qualified/certified Special Education teacher for a full-time position at the elementary school level. The candidate must have experience working with special education students with varying disabilities Recent experience working with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities Experience with students who have significant learning and behavioral challenges Possess strong classroom management skills, including managing classroom staff members and behavior management techniques Knowledge of programming and implementing AAC devices Knowledge/experience writing IEPs Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students Candidate should have good interpersonal, written/oral communication, and organizational skills Requirements: Current NYS certification in Students with Disabilities B-2 and 1-6 The Elwood School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer
