Location: James H. Boyd Intermediate School (2 positions)Hours: 6.5 paid hours plus a 30 minutes unpaid lunchEffective: September 3, 2024Description: This position is in an inclusion classroom working with students in grades 3-5 with disabilities.Skills Required: The ideal candidate will have recent experience working with children who have significant learning and/or behavioral challenges. Experience with deescalating behaviors and data collection preferred. Applicants must be kind, caring, patient and capable of communicating with our students in a positive manner. Qualifications: Current certification as a Teaching Assistant or classroom teacher or eligibility for NYS Teaching Assistant certification. Teaching Certification in Special Education/Students with Disabilities is desirable, as is experience working with students with learning and/or behavioral challenges.
