Location: John Glenn High School – may vary as neededEffective: April 2023Hours: 5:45 am – 1:45 pmDesirable Skills: The successful candidate will assist the cook and assume responsibility for the kitchen and cafeteria staff in their absence. Good knowledge of preparation of food and maintenance of a school kitchen. Good knowledge of the use and care of utensils and equipment in a school cafeteria. Ability to follow oral and written instructions and to perform light manual labor. Assist in maintaining inventory records and ordering provisions.Requirements: Candidates are encouraged to hold a current Suffolk County Department of Health Food Manager’s Certificate. Compensation: Salary and benefits in accordance with the contract between the District and the Elwood Cafeteria Staff Association.
