Location: Harley Avenue (Grades K-2) and Elwood Middle School (Grades 6-8)Effective: September 2025Description: The Elwood UFSD is seeking a highly qualified Speech Language Pathologist for a part-time position to be split between the primary school and middle school buildings. The candidate must have experience working with students with special education needs and varying disabilities.Applicant must have a repertoire of evidence-based instructional strategiesAbility to use appropriate technologies to support instructional needs (TouchChat, LAMP, etc.)Experience conducting speech and language evaluations to identify communication disorders.Knowledge/experience writing and implementing IEPs Candidate should have good interpersonal, written/oral communication and organizational skillsRequirements: NYS Certification - Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped/Teacher of Speech Language DisabilitiesPreferred - NYS Speech Language Pathology license and/or American Speech Language Hearing Association – Certificate of Clinical CompetenceExperience working with children & adolescents with Autism and/or emotional and behavioral disorders highly desirableCompensation: In accordance with the agreement between the District and the Elwood Alliance of Teachers.Elwood School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer
