Location: Building and Grounds Hours: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm Effective: January 17, 2025 Description: Maintenance Mechanic III is a skilled mechanic having electrical/mechanical background in the repair and maintenance of building electrical systemsincluding lighting, electro/mechanical equipment and electrical control systems.Skills Required: Thorough knowledge of practice, materials, tools and methods of electro/mechanical systems. Thorough knowledge of pertinent rules, regulations and codes which are applicable to electro/mechanical systems. Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions associated with this work. Ability to understand and work from general instruction, building specifications, blueprints or sketch and determine practices, materials, tools and methods to complete assigned tasks. Direct subordinate maintenance mechanics who assist in performing assigned tasks. Perform skilled work in operating, repairing and maintaining cooling/heating equipment, pumps, fans, motorized equipment and lighting. Physical condition must be commensurate with the demands of the position. A master electrician’s license is preferred.
