Location: Harley Avenue Primary School Effective: September 2026 Description: The Elwood UFSD has an anticipated vacancy (0.4 FTE) for the 2026-2027 school year for a Library Media Specialist Teacher at the primary school level. Full days Monday and Wednesday teaching Kindergarten - Grade 2. The successful candidate will have the ability to make the environment in the library both social and interactive. The successful candidate will: Maintain transparent and proactive communication with families regarding student progress. Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment where all perspectives are valued. Demonstrate continuous professional growth and a "positive mindset" toward educational innovation. Requirements: Current NYS certification as a Library Media Specialist or School Media Specialist (preferred). Current NYS certification in Childhood Education, or equivalent, in grades K-2 Compensation: In accordance with the contract between the District and the Elwood Teachers’ Alliance.
