Location: Elwood Middle School Effective: Anticipated September 2023 Description: The Elwood UFSD is seeking a highly qualified/certified Special Education Math Teacher for a position in Elwood Middle School. The candidate must have experience working with students who are classified with varying disabilities. Applicant must have a repertoire of evidence based instructional strategies Ability to use appropriate technologies to support instructional needs Knowledge/experience implementing IEPs Knowledge of NYS math standards Possess strong classroom management skills Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students Candidate should have good interpersonal, written/oral communication and organizational skills Requirements: Current NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities, 5-9 (or equivalent) Current NYS Certification in Mathematics, 7-12 Currently employed or experience with being a special education and/or math teacher Compensation: In accordance with the agreement between the District and the Elwood Alliance of Teachers.
